  • Drawn Out

Exodus 1: 15-16 Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, “when you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live. Exodus 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying “Because I drew him out of the water.” After Joseph”s death there arose a King of Egypt that knew not Joseph. He became increasingly insecure because of the prolific growth of the Israelites and order the Hebrew midwives to kill the male children born of the Hebrew women. The midwives feared God and didn’t do as Pharaoh commanded. A man of the house of Levi went and took as a wife a daughter of Levi. The woman conceived and bore a son. When she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months. When she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for the child, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river bank. The child’s sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him. Pharaoh’s daughter was bathing in the river when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to fetch it. When she opened it she saw the child crying and she had compassion for him, and said, this is one of the Hebrew’s children. The child’s sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you. The child was named Moses because he was drawn out of the water. God preserved the life of the Moses. He was brought up in the court of Pharaoh nursed by his biological mother who was paid wages to take care of her own child. God was orchestrating Moses life preparing him for his purpose. When Moses was grown he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. He killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. Pharaoh heard of what Moses had done. Out of fear for his life Moses fled to Midian and dwelt there. Moses was forty years old at the time he left Egypt and another forty years passed before he was ready for what God had him to do. At the age of 80 years old Moses received instruction from God to go deliver his people from Egypt. He left a murderer and came back as a deliver. God allowed him to be drawn out of the water to bring his people through the water so they could enter into the promise land. It doesn’t matter what your circumstance or situation is. God can draw you out to bring you into your deliverance.

  • Beware of False Prophets

We are living in a time where we must have a keen sense of discernment. There are many false prophets and teachers that seek to subvert the truth. II Peter 2:1-2  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. There are many well known preachers of today that have made a spectacle of the Word of God. Whatever doesn't line up with the holy scriptures must not be received as truth. The Bible tells us to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1) How do we test them? We test them according to the scriptures. One wise preacher said "If its new then its not God and if its God its not new". King Solomon even told us there is nothing new under the sun. Let us be very careful about who we allow to speak into our lives especially if what they are saying is in violation of the Holy Scriptures. Galatians 1:8-9  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other  gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Guard your ears and your heart!

  • Be Ready!

We are living in the closing hours of our Savior return. It requires us to live everyday like it’s the day of His coming. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Jesus makes it very clear that it is our Heavenly Father that will give the command. Let all of us live in a constant state of readiness. I Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
